Cheryl Sheriff - 0407 153 412

After speaking with Cheryl for the first time at 6 weeks pregnant with our second child, I knew I wanted her to be part of this journey with us. Motivated to go for a VBAC after having some trauma with my first labour, I felt like I needed someone with a knowledge of the hospital system and able to provide emotional support if I wanted to trial labour and a vaginal birth again.

From our first conversation, Cheryl put me at ease and reduced my anxieties. She listened to my story and provided evidence based and professional advice.

I thought that most of the support from Cheryl would be during labour but she provided me with so much more. She shared so many resources for me to have a look at and a list of practitioners. Those resources have been invaluable, it helped better inform me about labour on a physiological but also on a mental preparation level. It helped me to ask the right questions to my OB and make informed decisions. This also helped me process what happened during my first labour.

Every time I had a doubt or felt anxious, Cheryl was available and shared the latest evidence- based advice research. I appreciated that Cheryl provided information but at the end she respected whatever our choices were.

During labour, I felt like Cheryl, alongside my husband, were my rocks. I felt safe, informed and a key actor of what was happening. Cheryl worked very well with our OB and the midwives.

We feel so grateful for our safe delivery with a healthy bub and mum and I look back with fondness on birthing our baby.

Thank you again

“ Staff at the hospital were very impressed by Cheryl's support, and some of them were amazed that I had successfully had a vaginal birth after two Caesars. My husband and I both felt that we couldn't have done this without Cheryl's support — and we would gladly recommend her to any other expecting couples. ”
