Cheryl Sheriff - 0407 153 412

Caroline, Jamie and baby Oliver November 2017

I cannot recommend Cheryl enough! Her support and advice started as soon as we enquired about her services, even though we were only approx. two months pregnant and living overseas at the time. Throughout my pregnancy Cheryl was readily available to not only answer questions but also took it upon herself to forward on information and interesting articles at relevant times. I also found her book Stork Talk a great read and would recommend it for any expectant mother. Once we moved back to Brisbane we finally had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl in person and we were immediately reassured that we’d done the right thing by enlisting her help. She has such an extensive knowledge of all things related to pregnancy and childbirth but also has an incredibly calm and caring manner which comes in handy in such an unfamiliar and daunting time. With a focus on evidence based practice and critical thinking, she gave me the confidence to make decisions based on what was best for myself and my baby, despite it not always following hospital policy. Whilst my labour did not follow our birth plan (which had been meticulously written with her help) I was confident and able to focus on keeping as active as possible for as long as I could. Bub had other ideas and unfortunately I required a C-Section, Cheryl was waiting up in my room on the maternity ward and set about ensuring that I was able to express some feed for Oliver who was still down in the nursery. The 4th trimester support has been invaluable, Cheryl has been regularly checking in, offering reassurance, answers to silly questions, home delivered food as well as helpful referrals for other health professionals where needed. My husband and I feel very lucky to have had Cheryl as part of Oliver’s birth team.

“ I am so proud of the work I did to birth our children and I fully credit Cheryl's support for ensuring that these births were all that I wanted them to be. ”
